MG ZR 160 Spares or repair
I am selling my 2002 MG ZR 160 for spares or repair.
It has had: New uprated multi layered head gasket and head bolts. New timing belt and tensioner. 8 new exhaust valves. New Battery, New discs and pads front and rear, second hand front exhaust section (including cat and s/h front and rear lambda sensors)
It has no MOT or tax, and I put it through for an MOT and it failed on: high emissions on idle and fast idle, no catalytic converter, O/S front wheel bearing, driver seat adjuster not working.
I have repaired the drivers seat, fitted a second hand cat and front wheel bearing. I put it through for a re-test on the MOT and it failed again on high emissions. (original failure reading was 0.9, second reading was 0.6, and it needs to be below 0.3)
What it needs: Emissions sorting out (a new cat?), front wheel bearing and possibly a front O/S outer drive shaft (a new bearing was fitted, but was making a funny noise on the way to the MOT centre. When I got home I took the hub nut off to investigate and when I put it back on the threads were damaged and they have chewed up and will not tighten up fully or undo)
It also has some slight rust patches bubbling through on the lips of the wheel arches.
I do not have the time to fix it as I will be working abroad soon.
This could be a fairly in-expensive fix and would be a nice car.
Would need to be trailered away due to the hub nut not being fully done up.
